And: Say what you will about Sigue Sigue Sputnik’s music — their pictures are great to show as an example of wacky 80s fashion. And before dismissing the guys for being one hit wonders, realize that the pink-haired dude below is Tony James, who not only has had a considerable musical history (Generation X — with Billy Idol — before SSS, Sisters of Mercy after) but is still playing today. He has formed a band called Carbon/Silicon, with none other than Mick Jones of The Clash/Big Audio Dynamite. Small world.
