NP: The first concert the band played — when and where?
RG: Our first gig was with Siouxsie and the Banshees and Adam and the Ants, and that was in 1979 at Colchester University. Basically, it was just anarchy. [...]

Modern English’s original “I Melt With You” is not the only version of this track getting airplay. In the past couple decades, it’s been covered by Jason Mraz, Bowling For Soup, Nouvelle Vague and Good Riddance. As if that wasn’t enough, the song was also featured in a Burger King commercial. Now that’s fame.
